Germany, Ennepetal, 29th October 2009 – In
October the 2010 edition of the German 'Brand of the century' award was
conferred. BILSTEIN gained this coveted award in the category 'Shock
absorbers' and from now on is one of the 250 German 'brands of the
century'. The company's nomination is an important confirmation of
BILSTEIN's high quality and performance in the field of suspension
technology. The award was presented by Dr. Florian Langenscheidt, whose
subsidiary 'Deutsche Standards' publishes the reference book 'Brands of
the century'. According to Dr. Langenscheidt in his eulogy "All
award-winning brands represent the whole of their industry. Anyone who
thinks of an industry thinks of this particular brand."
The
advisory panel of experts consists of representatives from such
renowned institutions as the German Marketing Association, The Boston
Consulting Group, the magazine 'Absatzwirtschaft', Publicis and
Momberger BrandNet, as well as Jean-Remy von Matt and Prof. Dr. Herbert
Meffert. The English and Chinese language editions are published as
part of the initiative 'Germany - Land of Ideas' and are distributed worldwide, with an initial print run of 70,000 copies.
